KOMODO - Link Setup

Android Setup 

The RED Control app for Android is available in the Google Play Shop. 

1. Connect mobile device to the KOMODO Link Adapter via USB-C data cable. 
2. On Android device: Go to "Hotspot and Tethering" in the device settings menu and enable both "Wi-Fi Hotspot" and "USB Tethering". 
3. On Camera go to Menu > Communication > KOMODO Link Adapter. 
4. Verify a valid IP address is supplied. 
5. Open RED Control app & tap ‘re-scan’. 
6. App should then display device with [LINK] in the name – tap to connect. 

Note: Android devices do not require a cell phone plan. 

Note: Android devices require version 8.0 or later. 

iPhone Setup 

The RED Control app for iOS is available in the Apple App Store. 

1. Connect mobile device to the KOMODO Link Adapter via iPhone USB-C to Lightning data cable.
2. Verify "Trust This Computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this computer when connected wirelessly or using a cable." message.
3. Select "Trust". 
4. Verify "Device passcode to trust this computer". 
5. Enter passcode. 
6. On iPhone device: Go to "Personal Hotspot" in the device settings menu and enable "Allow Others to Join".
7. Go to Menu > Communication > KOMODO Link Adapter. 
8. Verify a valid IP address is supplied. 
9. Open RED Control app & tap ‘re-scan’. 
10. App should then display device with [LINK] in the name – tap to connect. 

Note: iOS devices require a cell phone plan. 

Note: iOS devices require iOS 12 or later.
