RED RANGER with MONSTRO 8K VV Sensor is an integrated Large Format 8K camera system offering an all-in-one system for top-tier production use. It features all of the benefits of the MONSTRO 8K VV sensor within a compact and less complex platform for filmmakers. Features like integrated I/O’s, 24V power out, shimmed PL Mount, and improved thermal performance offer unmatched versatility as well as peace of mind in challenging shooting environments.

RED RANGER is capable of handling the rigorous strain and robust power needs of high-end studio productions. RED RANGER supports wide input voltage (11.5V to 32V), offers independent SDI and AUX power outputs, and features an integrated XLR audio input. The camera also boasts a larger fan for quieter and more efficient temperature management. RED RANGER is available in two configurations, supporting either V-Lock or Gold Mount batteries.

Where can I get a RED RANGER MONSTRO?

RANGER is only available through rental houses. While we understand that private parties and some organizations have interest in RANGER, the camera’s primary use case is production on professional sets which is best facilitated through rental houses. The RANGER is not available via, direct sales, or dealers.


The RED RANGER features the MONSTRO 8K VV sensor. RED does not offer any programs to swap the sensor.

The RED RANGER comes with a standard 2-year warranty.

You can purchase RED ARMOR, which adds an additional 2 years of warranty to the camera.

The RED RANGER is not eligible for RED ARMOR-W, because the RED RANGER sensor cannot be swapped.

How do I register the camera?

Each RED RANGER will be registered to the rental house that owns it. If you are renting the RED RANGER from a rental house, do not register the camera to yourself. If you work for a rental house and would like to inquire about the status of your camera registration, please submit a Support Request.
