Topics covered on this page:

The RED® 3-Axis Lens Control System is a versatile and highly accurate motorized lens control system that works in tandem with your camera.

The main components of the RED 3-Axis Lens Control System are:

You can use the T.H.C., W.M.D., rail accessories, and motor drivers to control the focus, iris, and zoom lens functions. The innovative clamp design of the RED Lens Control Motor Mounting Bracket allows you to set up a low-profile lens control system for your camera rig.

What is the W.M.D.?

The W.M.D. is a motor driver that receives control signals from the T.H.C. to drive up to 3x RED Lens Control Motors.

What is the T.H.C.?

The T.H.C. is a fully wireless remote solution to control focus, iris, and zoom. The T.H.C. communicates wirelessly with the W.M.D. via a dedicated control link at distances up to 1000', and is capable of wired operation over much greater distances.

The T.H.C can also communicate with the R.C.P.TM Bridge for remote or wireless focus and iris control when using motorized Canon and Nikon lenses.

For more information, go to the R.C.P. Bridge Operation Guide.
